Asymptotics definitions

while trying to prove the asymptotics in project 3 ive encountered a few questions:
i need clarification about defenitions 7 and 8 (recitation5 slides 8 and 9 respectively)

  1. in defenition 7 can c1 and c3 be <1 (>=0) and can c2, c3 be dependant on n?
  2. in defenition 8 can c and d be <1 (>=0)?

  2. a constant cannot depend on n
  3. I revised the definitions this year in my lectures this year to simplify matters. The recitation uses a more complicated defintion (that is correct and addresses a special case of functions with values below 1).
