when we use circuits from the previous exercises, is it enough to just add the circuit file at the left side under the gates files?
No, you must not import other files/libraries. If you want to use a circuit from the previous project, create a new circuit in your file for this project (using the green + in the left sidebar), and re-implement the circuit you want to use there.
